pert Agent
There are very good agents out there
to represent any buyer. Unfortunately, there are way more average, just-okay and
downright poor agentsand it’s not easy to sort out who’s who. Sawbuck has identified and partnered with the leading local agents and teams across the region. You’ll
work with a top buyer’s agent who knows the area, neighborhoods and homes you care
about. You’ll benefit from their local experience, local knowledge and local reputation.
How It Works
Sawbuck believes that a great local agent is critically important when buying a new home. The really
good agents bring a lot to the table. They can help you find a better house, strike a better deal and
have a less-stressful experience. We can’t replace that with phone-based agents sitting in an office
buildingand we don’t try. Instead, we identify the leading agents and agent teams serving each community.
When you are ready to see properties or discuss neighborhood specifics, Sawbuck will connect you with
the top buyer’s agent we have identified for that area. They provide the same high level of service they
would for any client:
- Touring homes with you
- Consulting about all aspects of the home-buying process
- Negotiating with sellers and their agents
- Writing contracts
- Responding to counteroffers
- Managing contingencies and inspections
- Accompanying you to closing
Our buyers get all the benefits of a great local buyer’s agent, plus the financial benefits
that only Sawbuck offers. We want to give buyers the best of everything—without giving up
anything.
OK, so how do we find these agents?
Objective Criteria
In most of your life, you can do research to help you make the best choices—the
Internet has made this easier than ever. If you’re buying a $20 book, you can read
professional reviews, look at best-seller lists, view ratings at Amazon.com, even read
excerpts. If you’re buying a $25,000 car, you could spend weeks collecting detailed
information on features, options, reviews, safety and pricing. But when buying a
$500,000 house, there is precious little out there to help
you identify the best agent to represent you. So most people go with their gut,
an isolated recommendation or just someone they’ve heard of. Now, Sawbuck is changing
all that.
We use objective criteria to identify the best agent to represent you as a buyer.
Specifically, we’re looking for:
- Experience: We look for agents that have many years of experience representing
lots of
buyers. They’ve seen the full range of things that can go right—and wrong—when
buying a home. They know the ins and outs of the business.
- Local Knowledge: We target the agents that have done the most deals—in your
target community—over the last two years. They’ve seen the houses you like,
been in the comps, even know what’s coming on the market next week.
- Personality: We’ve interviewed these top local agents and teams to make sure
they do things the way you want—a businesslike approach to their job, technology-friendly,
great communications skills.
This local expert agent will show you homes and work with you directly throughout
the process, right through closing. Sawbuck will
coordinate your Free Mortgage and Free Settlement, and we’ll always be here to
consult with you on any issues your local agent can’t quickly resolve to
your satisfaction.
